Transcendent

Privacy Policy

Effective: June 25, 2026 Last Updated: June 2026 Version: 1.0

Transcendent is built on a foundation of trust (amānah). Your spiritual data — your prayers, your dhikr, your intentions, your moments of muhasabah — belongs to you. We will never sell it, exploit it, or use it for anything other than running this app for your benefit.

01

Who We Are

Transcendent ("the App", "we", "us") is an independent Islamic spiritual development application. The app is developed and operated as a solo independent project.

If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at: privacy@transcendentapp.com

02

What Data We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to run the app and save your progress. Nothing more.

We do not collect: your location, your contacts, your camera or microphone data, your browsing history, or any biometric information. We do not use third-party advertising SDKs.

03

How We Use Your Data

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, behavioral analytics sold to third parties, or any purpose outside of operating Transcendent for your benefit.

04

How Your Data is Stored

Your data is stored in two places:

Firebase's infrastructure is protected by industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. You can review Google Firebase's own privacy and security documentation at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.

05

Spiritual Data — Special Consideration

We recognize that your prayer records, Muhasabah reflections, and spiritual intentions are sensitive personal data. In many contexts this falls under religious belief data, which carries heightened privacy expectations.

We make a clear commitment: your spiritual practice data will never be sold, licensed, shared with advertisers, or used for any commercial purpose outside of operating Transcendent. This is a matter of Islamic ethics (amānah) as much as legal obligation.

Your Muhasabah text entries (if any are stored) are treated with the same confidentiality as private journal entries. They are not read by us, not used to train AI models, and not accessible to any third party.

06

Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We do not share your personal information with third parties except in the following limited circumstances:

07

Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your data at any time:

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@transcendentapp.com. We will respond within 30 days.

08

Children's Privacy

Transcendent is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately and we will delete that information.

09

Push Notifications

Transcendent may send push notifications for prayer time reminders and daily check-in prompts. These notifications are local and device-based — they do not require us to collect or process additional personal data. You can disable notifications at any time in your device's Settings.

10

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the app evolves. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and notify active users through the app. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

We will never make material changes to how we handle spiritual practice data without explicit notification and, where required by law, your consent.

11

Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. For users in the European Economic Area, we comply with GDPR requirements. For users in California, we comply with CCPA requirements.
